Cable Percussion
Cable Percussion Drilling uses a heavy weight attached to a steel cable to hammer through soft ground. The holes made from this are then supported by temporary steel casings, preventing the hole from collapsing in on itself. Once the required size hole has been dug, permanent plastic or stainless steel casings are installed and the temporary casings removed. Cable Percussion Drilling is limited to soft ground.
